Starting a grey and grey zigzag quilt. I am rotary cutting and machine piecing. It’s coming together very quickly!
And here is the other quilt bought for the baby boy! It measures approx 40” square and goes quite well the pink scrappy quilt.

Very excited to have sold two quilts in my Folksy shop! This quilt was one of the first completed specifically for my online shop.
It is one of a set going to a tiny little pair of twins!

Completed baby boy quilt. Measures approx 40” square.
So I have been continuing with my hand pieced Grandmothers Flower Garden but I have to confess I’m not enjoying it very much and finding the process slow and time consuming.
I have tried a few pattern layouts but the colours I have chosen seem a bit flat! I may need to invest in a few additions for my fabric stash.
I’ll set it aside for a while and hopefully will come back to it in a few weeks with fresh eyes!
Top pieced and now ready to make up my quilt sandwich. All new fabrics. Was super quick to make up. Blocks measure 5’ square.
I’ve started on the final two quilts for my baby collection. I wanted to go back to basics and make a paper pieced quilt (the first patchwork method I learnt). I’m still deciding whether to piece the flowers directly together or to break them up with a neutral.
The retro 60s fabrics were given to me by a lady I had met when volunteering at an older people’s friendship group, we made patchwork cushions which were used at a fundraiser.
I intend for this quilt to be made solely from upcycled fabrics. Luckily I have a big stash, mostly old clothes and bits picked up at charity shops. But some has been passed down to me by my mother , grandmother or kind folk as mentioned above.
